STEM MAGNET LAB SCHOOL

STEM Magnet Lab is a K-8 elementary through middle school with a vision to empower its students and believes all students deserve to have access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM education), and opportunities to demonstrate their abilities in a variety of challenging ways.

With student-centered classrooms where students are encouraged to ask questions and inquire, and promote innovation for all students. Teachers facilitate and help develop every student’s ability through this method. Following are some of the many highlights of STEM Magnet Lab:

• Kindergarten students often demonstrate their abilities of being entrepreneurial and participate at the sustainability fair.
• Fifth grade students demonstrate their engineering skills by developing ways to clean oil spills and learn how to deliver a press conference to the public.
• Students learn from professionals from their fields of expertise, either through email, in-person, or videoconferences with scientists from NASA.
