In 2012 - 2013, the school refocused its mission on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Since then, the school turned into a STEM school of design and discovery, committed to nurturing a challenging inquiry-based learning environment, dedicated to the advancement of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math for the 21st century.
Hutchinson STEM Magnet School at Allen is a K-6 magnet school which does not have enrollment boundary. It grooms students who imagine today and create tomorrow. It provides a safe and healthy learning environment that enables students to maximize the use of current technology. Established to provide a community that fosters students’ respect for individuals and property, the school nurtures students to develop responsibility for their own learning, positive and supportive attitude and master basic academic skills essential for success in a technologically advancing world.
At Hutchinson STEM Magnet School at Allen, Science, Technology, Engineering and math (STEM) are integrated throughout all curricula with a strong emphasis in using the design loop in all content areas.
